Grader Laser Grading Baseball
Fields - Soccer Fields - Football Fields
The
most important feature of Laser-Grading ® athletic fields is that
the area to be graded, ie. a baseball diamond, is the only disrupted
area. The surrounding areas are not disturbed because the Laser-Grader®
is not heavy enough to cause any damage. On a soccer or football field
the sod can be peeled back, the grading accomplished and then the sod
is returned to its place. Or in the case of a baseball diamond where
the sod has overgrown the diamond, it can be removed and the baselines
Laser-Graded ®.
Precision Grading
Company has graded soccer fields, baseball and softball diamonds, field
hockey and football fields. Precision Grading Co. has used the Laser-Grader
® to grade athletic fields for recreation and little league to professional
teams. It is just as important to have fields in good condition for
our children as it is for the pros. The better the grading job the more
uniform the playing surface the less chance of turned ankles and broken
bones.
Laser
Grader Laser Grading Ice Rinks
Precision
Grading Company Laser-Grades ® both sand and concrete ice rinks.
When ice
rinks are being constructed it is most important that the fine grading
is totally accurate. If the rink is not perfectly level the ice will
be thicker in some places. This causes hard or soft spots on the ice
and it makes it a lot harder to maintain the proper ice conditions for
hockey or figure skating. Laser Grader laser grading service can consistently
accomplish close tolerance grading to 1/8th of an inch. Whether it is
the sand over the heating pipes or the sand over the freezing pipes
Precision Grading will Laser-Grade ® to the same strict tolerance. The
laser-grader ® weighs only 3,200 pounds, it does not damage the
heating or freezing pipes, the laser-grader ® drives right over
these with no problems.
The most
interesting ice rink project to date is in Nyack, NY at the Palisade
Mall. The sand over the heating pipes were Laser-Graded ® the day
before Thanksgiving '97. The ice rink is on the fourth floor. The Laser-Grader
® was lifted by crane approximately 60 feet to an opening in the
outside wall. After the grading was completed, the Laser-Grader ®
was safely lowered by the crane. The following week after the styrofoam
and freezing pipes were installed, Precision Grading returned to laser-grade®
the final layer of sand and again trusted the Laser-Grader ® to
the crane operator.
Laser
Grader Laser Grading Building Floors
During
the construction of buildings the floors are among the last items to
be completed. This means the walls and roof are up, and there is very
limited access to get equipment into the building to perform the fine-grading.
The usual answer was laborers using the old pick and shovel, strings
and grade stakes. Precision Grading's laser grader with a length of
10 feet and width of 4 feet could fit through small openings and could
accurately grade the slab-on-grade before the concrete was poured.
It was not long
before workers realized that not only was the grading time greatly reduced,
but the accuracy of the work was vastly improved. Less concrete overages
saved the contractors money. Less man hours were needed for a further
savings of wages and benefits. The mini-grader© proved to be a
valuable machine. In February 1983 when laser equipment was incorporated
into the mini-grader© the name was not the only change. Now a gravel
base of 50,000 square feet could be accurately Laser-Graded ® in
an eight hour day.

Grader Laser Grading Courts & Tracks
Precision Grading
Company specializes in close tolerance laser-grading ® which makes
it the right technology for grading indoor and outdoor tennis courts
and running tracks. Using the Laser-Grader ® Precision Grading Co.
is able to fine-grade all of the layers for clay, fast-dry, and asphalt
tennis courts. Clay and fast-dry courts must have the gravel base graded
correctly so the following layer of stone dust (also called "fines"
in some parts of the country) and the layer of fast dry will each have
a uniform depth. Also it is easier to maintain the correct degree of
slope for the courts if each layer has been laser-graded ®. As a
member of the United States Tennis Court & Track Builders Association,
we realize the importance of maintaining the high standards set for
the industry.
Asphalt tennis
courts and running tracks both benefit from laser-grading ® in the
same way. A properly laser-graded ® surface will enable the paver
to more easily put down an even layer of asphalt. This will reduce the
chance of cracks in the asphalt and wavy lane lines should not be a
problem. The smoother and more uniform the surface of the tennis court
or track, the less chance of injury to the athletes.
